The Bumble Bee boat line built their first boat in 1980 and their last in 2005. The company officially closed for business in 2007 at their Tennessee facility, which is now the home of Bee Line and Phoenix Boats. While Phoenix Boats did not purchase the Bumble Bee company, they use many of the Bumble Bee molds to make their Bee Line Boats.
