G3 Boats began in 1994 when they were operating under the name Generation III. In 1997 they were acquired by Yamaha, which changed their official name to G3. At one point they manufactured both aluminum and fiberglass boats. However, as Yamaha already had a fiberglass bass boat line (Skeeter Boats), G3 began only manufacturing aluminum boats. G3 Boats are built in Lebanon, Missouri.
